Tata Motors, Maharashtra tie up for scrappage unit

Tata Motors stated Friday it has tied up with the Maharashtra authorities to help organising of a registered automobile scrapping facility (RVSF) within the state.
The two inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to arrange the scrappage centre with a recycling capability of as much as 35,000 automobiles a 12 months for end-of-life passenger and industrial automobiles.
The state industries, vitality and labour division will help in facilitating the required approvals, Tata Motors stated. Earlier, Tata Motors had signed an MoU with the Gujarat authorities to arrange a scrapping facility in Ahmedabad.
