PLI scheme for ACs, LED lights notified
1 min read The division for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has notified the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for ACs and LED lights and mentioned that number of corporations to avail the incentives can be finished to help manufacturing of elements that aren’t at present manufactured regionally.
It mentioned that mere meeting of completed items wouldn’t be incentivised and firms investing in primary/core elements would get the next precedence.
Earlier this month, the federal government accepted a PLI scheme for white items — air conditioners (ACs) and LED Lights — with a budgetary outlay of Rs 6,238 crore. It might be applied over 2021-22 to 2028-29.
