Maruti Suzuki’s complete gross sales up by 26 laptop in August

Automaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Thursday reported a 26.37 per cent improve in complete gross sales at 1,65,173 models in August 2022.

The firm had offered a complete of 1,30,699 models in the identical month final 12 months, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) stated in a press release.

Total home passenger car gross sales have been at 1,34,166 models as in comparison with 1,03,187 models within the year-ago month, a progress of 30 per cent, it added.

Sales of mini section vehicles, comprising Alto and S-Presso, grew to 22,162 models as towards 20,461 models in August 2021.

Sales of compact vehicles, together with Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and WagonR, rose by 57 per cent to 71,557 models as in comparison with 45,577 models within the year-ago month.

Utility autos, consisting of Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross and XL6, clocked gross sales of 26,932 models final month as in comparison with 24,337 models earlier.

“The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles, mainly in domestic models. The company took all possible measures to minimise the impact,” MSIL stated.

Sales of van Eeco have been at 11,999 models final month as towards 10,666 models in August 2021, whereas that of sunshine industrial car Super Carry stood at 3,371 models as towards 2,588 models earlier.

MSIL stated its exports in August 2022 stood at 21,481 models as in comparison with 20,619 models in the identical month final 12 months.
