Maruti Suzuki India, the nation’s largest carmaker, on Wednesday mentioned its complete manufacturing in December 2020 elevated 33.78 per cent to 1,55,127 models. The firm had produced a complete 1,15,949 models in the identical month of 2019, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) mentioned in a regulatory submitting.
Passenger autos manufacturing stood at 1,53,475 models final month as in contrast with 1,14,962 models in December 2019, a progress of 33.5 per cent.
Production of mini vehicles comprising Alto and S-Presso fashions stood 8.42 per cent up at 27,772 models final month, towards 25,613 models in December 2019.

Similarly, manufacturing of compact vehicles, comprising WagonR, Celerio, Ignis, Swift, Baleno and Dzire, stood at 85,103 models as towards 62,448 models in December 2019, a rise of 36.27 per cent, MSI mentioned.
Production of utility autos — Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza and XL6 — elevated 41.26 per cent at 28,006 models in December 2020, in comparison with 19,825 models within the corresponding month of 2019.
MSI mentioned manufacturing of its mild industrial automobile Super Carry stood at 1,652 models as towards  987 models within the year-ago month.
