1 min readShare/Stock Market Live Updates: The benchmark indices on BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) continued their restoration for the second consecutive day, rising over 2 per cent on Wednesday aided by a rally throughout sectors together with banking, financials, data know-how (IT), cars prescription drugs and aviation shares.
The S&P BSE Sensex climbed 1,223.24 factors (2.29 per cent) to settle at 54,647.33 whereas the Nifty 50 gained 331.90 factors (2.07 per cent) to finish at 16,345.35. Both the indices had opened almost 0.5 per cent larger earlier within the day and rose larger because the commerce progressed. In the intraday, the BSE benchmark hit a excessive of 54,893.73 whereas the broader Nifty touched 16,418.05.
On the Sensex pack, Asian Paints was the highest gainer on Wednesday, rising over 5.5 per cent. It was adopted by Reliance Industries (RIL), Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finserv. On the opposite hand, Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC, Tata Steel and Nestle India had been the laggards.
