IndiGo to begin Kolkata-Deoghar flight service on July 12

The nation’s largest price range service IndiGo on Friday introduced that it’s going to begin flights between Kolkata and the newly constructed airport in Deoghar in Jharkhand from Tuesday, July 12.

IndiGo’s flights within the Kolkata-Deoghar route will function 4 instances every week – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, the airline knowledgeable in an announcement.

Late final month, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted an aerodrome license to the brand new Deoghar airport, permitting it to deal with narrow-body plane equivalent to A321 and B737.

IndiGo’s Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer Sanjay Kumar stated, “These new flights will enhance connectivity and significantly reduce transit time between Kolkata and Deoghar, from 7.5 hrs to less than 1.25 hrs. The increased access to Deoghar – home to Baba Baidyanath Temple, Trikuta Parvata, Rama Krishna Mission Vidyapith and Naulakha Mandir – will also boost religious tourism in the region.”
