The Income Tax Department on Wednesday carried out searches on the premises of Bengaluru-based pharmaceutical firm Micro Labs Ltd, the producer of Dolo-650 pill for alleged tax evasion. The drugs, prescribed for decreasing fever and ache, was broadly used throughout Covid-19 pandemic.

The tax division is taking a look at monetary data and statements of the corporate as a part of the searches, officers mentioned. Further particulars weren’t disclosed by the division.
