42 mines auctioned until date for industrial mining: Coal Ministry

A complete of 42 coal blocks have been auctioned until date for industrial mining, the Coal Ministry mentioned in a press release on Saturday. Of the mentioned blocks, 10 coal mines had been auctioned the previous week below the third tranche, it added.
“Under the commercial coal mining auction process, a total of 42 coal mines, including… mines auctioned in tranche-3, have been successfully auctioned till date with a total cumulative PRC (peak rate capacity) of 86.404 million tonnes per annum (MTPA),” the assertion mentioned.
The ministry mentioned that the ten blocks offered final week are projected to generate an annual income of Rs 2,858.20 crore, including that the “annual revenue projected (is) based on the PRC (peak rate capacity) of mine.”
On the primary day of the public sale, 5 blocks had been offered, with Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd rising as the best bidder for 2 coal blocks in Jharkhand.

While Mahanadi Mines and Minerals was the best bidder for a coal block in Odisha, Yazdani Steel and Power was the best bidder for an additional mine within the japanese state, the Ministry had mentioned in a press release on Tuesday.
Assam Mineral Development Corp Ltd was the best bidder for a mine in Assam.
On the second and the third days of public sale, Jindal Steel and Power bagged Utkal-C coal mine in Odisha whereas Hindalco Industries made the best bid for Meenakshi mine within the japanese state.

BS Ispat Ltd emerged as the best bidder for Majra mine in Maharashtra, and Assam Mineral Development Corporation  bagged Garampani coal block in Assam.
Platinum Alloys Pvt Ltd bagged Namchik Namphuk mine in Arunachal Pradesh.  WITH PTIBS Ispat Ltd emerged as the best bidder for Majra mine in Maharashtra, and Assam Mineral Development Corporation  bagged Garampani coal block in Assam.
