Performances of 25 cultural art-forms including singing, dancing and musical performances to be staged
For the first time, Gedi, Raut and Danda Nacha folk dances, along with rock bands, traditional attires, food festival and painting competitions have been included
To encourage youth participation in cultural activities and to polish their talents, an elaborate Youth Festival is being organized in the state from October 15 to January 14, on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel's initiative. This Youth Festival will be organized in three phases- development block-level youth festival will be organized from October 15 to November 15, district levell from November 15 to December 10 and state-level youth fest will be held in capital city Raipur from January 12 to January 14, 2020.
State Government's Sports and Youth Welfare Department has issued necessary guidelines for successfully organizing this event. This time, more than 25 art-forms including singing, musical instrument playing and dancing have been included under State Youth Festival. In addition to the 18 art-forms that are usually included every year, State Government has included Gedi Nacha, Raut Nacha, Danda Nacha, Rock band, traditional attire competition, Chhattisgarhi food festival and painting competition based on folk culture of Chhattisgarh.
