President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has advocated for a “language of force” when addressing Russia, emphasizing that this is the only effective communication method. In a recent statement, Zelenskyy called for this approach to be utilized in all international discussions in the coming months.
With the June summits approaching, Zelenskyy expressed his commitment to ensuring the G7 Summit in Canada and the NATO Summit in the Netherlands are productive. The G7 Summit is scheduled for June 15-17, 2025, in Canada, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to attend the summit.
Zelenskyy also addressed the stalled prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine, which was delayed due to disagreements. While Russia placed blame on Ukraine, Zelenskyy asserted Kyiv’s commitment to securing the release of its prisoners of war and the return of fallen soldiers. He also pointed out that Russia has not provided the complete lists necessary for the prisoner exchange, as per the Istanbul agreement.
Additionally, Zelenskyy criticized Russia for attempting to turn the situation into a political ploy and confirmed that Ukraine is doing everything possible to advance the exchange process.
