Top US diplomat Wendy R Sherman to journey to India on Oct. 6, 7
1 min readA high American diplomat will go to India subsequent month to carry talks together with her Indian counterparts on bilateral and regional points, the US State Department mentioned on Monday, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a profitable bilateral summit in Washington with President Joe Biden.
Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R Sherman will journey to New Delhi on Oct. 6 and to Mumbai on the subsequent day, the State Department mentioned.
“Sherman will be in New Delhi on Oct. 6 for a series of bilateral meetings, civil society events, and the India Ideas Summit. On Oct. 7, she will travel to Mumbai for her engagements with business and civil society,” it mentioned.
From Mumbai, she is going to fly to Islamabad to fulfill with senior officers, the division mentioned.
Before arriving in Delhi, Sherman may also go to Switzerland and Uzbekistan, starting September 29.
India and the US are scheduled to carry their first 2+2 summit underneath the Biden administration in November.
