A mass shooting at a school in Graz, Austria, has resulted in the deaths of at least ten individuals. Reports confirm that students and staff were among the casualties. The shooter, also a student, took their own life.
The location of the shooting was BORG Dreierschützengasse high school. Following a call received at 10 am local time, special Cobra units and other emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The police successfully evacuated the school and moved everyone to a safe location. Authorities subsequently declared that the situation was ‘secured’, indicating that the danger had passed. Graz, the capital of Austria’s Styria province, has a population of about 300,000.
