Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday drew parallels between the Red Army’s battle throughout World War II in opposition to the Nazi troops and the battle in Ukraine.

Speaking at a navy parade to mark the World War II victory over Nazis, Putin stated the marketing campaign in Ukraine was a well timed and needed transfer to chase away potential aggression.
