Trump announced the ceasefire on social media, referring to it as ‘complete and total’, with an estimated start time within hours. He outlined the ceasefire sequence, and encouraged peaceful conduct. Trump applauded both countries for ending the conflict, which he termed ‘The 12 Day War’.
