Pak ex-deputy speaker attacked after PM-led delegation greeted with ‘chor’ slogans in Saudi | Video

Supporters of Pakistan’s federal minister Shahzain Bugti allegedly attacked former deputy speaker Qasim Suri in Islamabad on Thursday, shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was confronted by detractors at Islam’s holiest of holy websites.

A video shared by Pakistani journalist Murtaza Ali Shah exhibits a gaggle of males approaching Qasim Suri whereas elevating slogans of “PTI Murdabad”. The former deputy speaker belongs to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) which was booted from energy after its head Imran Khan misplaced a vote of confidence earlier this month. Notably, Suri had dismissed the no-confidence movement tabled in opposition to Khan within the National Assembly.

The assault got here shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his coterie of ministers had been catcalled and jeered at by pilgrims at Masjid-e-Nabawi in Madina. The Shehbaz Sharif-led delegation is on a three-day bilateral go to to Saudi Arabia. The delegation includes newly sworn-in overseas minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Information Minister Murriyam Aurangzeb, Shahzain Bugti, and different high-powered authorities officers.

Speaking to reporters, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb not directly blamed Imran Khan and his get together employees for the protest.
