Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, has strongly criticized nations that have recognized Palestine, arguing that they are effectively rewarding acts of terrorism. He firmly stated that there will be no Palestinian state established west of the Jordan River. Netanyahu plans to provide a comprehensive response upon his return from the United States. On social media, he conveyed a clear message to leaders acknowledging a Palestinian state following the October 7 massacre, asserting that they are rewarding terror with a prize. He reiterated that the creation of a Palestinian state is not going to happen, highlighting his long-standing efforts to prevent such an outcome. He referenced the expansion of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria. The Israeli Prime Minister stated that a response to the latest attempt will be delivered upon his return from the United States. Australia, Canada, and the UK jointly announced their recognition of the State of Palestine, while also emphasizing the need for Hamas to cease its existence. Australia’s Prime Minister’s Office released a statement to announce the formal recognition of the independent and sovereign State of Palestine. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned this action, saying that it will jeopardize the security in the region and goes against the goal of achieving a peaceful solution in the future.
