The Majeed Brigade, operating in Balochistan, is a group listed as a terrorist organization, alongside the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). Known for its suicide attacks, it targets both the Pakistani military and Chinese citizens. This makes them an enemy of both Pakistan and China. Formed in 2011, the Majeed Brigade has killed over 200 Pakistani military personnel in the past 14 years. The group was established in remembrance of Majeed Senior and his brother, Majeed Junior, who were part of the BLA. Members of the Majeed Brigade have contact with their families and choose their own targets. The majority of members are suicide attackers. The group is estimated to have 150 well-trained fighters. They operate from two training camps in Baloch areas, where they are trained by TTP operatives. The Pakistani military and its institutions are the main targets of the Majeed Brigade. The group carries out attacks in three stages: target selection, intelligence gathering by informers, and the execution of attacks. They use improvised explosive devices (IEDs), anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, grenades, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and various automatic weapons like M4 rifles and BM-12, 107MM, and 109MM rockets. The Majeed Brigade has also targeted Chinese nationals and related assets since 2018, resulting in the deaths of 14 Chinese nationals. The group claims China is oppressing Balochis in Gwadar through a private army and opposes the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
