The book ‘Palestinian Referendum’ was launched at the international book fair in Baghdad, supporting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s proposal for a referendum as a means to resolve the Palestinian issue. Khamenei believes that Israel could be pressured to accept a referendum.
The book focuses on three key demands: that non-native residents return to their home countries, that all Palestinians, regardless of their religion (Muslim, Christian, or Jewish), have voting rights, and that the struggle continues until Israel concedes.
Khamenei posted on social media X, highlighting that any plan about Palestine without the Palestinians’ consent would fail. He stated that the Palestinian people’s views should decide who governs. The referendum should include all Palestinians.
Khamenei believes those forced out of Palestine, regardless of their religion, should have a say in who governs their country. He also stressed that Palestinians must continue their political and military struggle. Khamenei asserted that if the Palestinians are resolute, they can get the Israeli government to agree.
The Arabic version of the book was also released. The launch was attended by Prof. Sayyed Jasim Al-Jazairi, Mohammad Al-Hafi from Hamas, Iranian Deputy Ambassador Dr. Aziz Panah, former PMF commander Sheikh Abu Aqeel Al-Kazimi, Dr. Mohammad Akhghari, the father of martyr Ahmad Al-Muhanna, and the injured woman from Gaza, Asmahan Jumah. The Arabic translation became available on Saturday.
