Israeli soldiers raided the West Bank home of Oscar-winning Palestinian director Basel Adra. During the raid, the soldiers questioned Adra’s wife and examined her phone. Adra reported that the Israeli forces also attacked his village, leading to injuries among his family members, including two of his brothers and a cousin. Adra went to the hospital with his injured relatives. He then learned from family members that nine Israeli soldiers had raided their home. The soldiers questioned his wife, Suha, regarding the director’s whereabouts, inspected her phone, and were present while their nine-month-old daughter was at home. One of Adra’s uncles was briefly detained. Adra spent the night outside the village as soldiers surrounded the area, preventing him from returning home or seeing his family because he feared being detained. The Israeli army said the soldiers were in the village after Palestinians threw stones and hurt two Israeli citizens. The army added that its soldiers were still in the village, searching and questioning people.
