India has extended a helping hand to Afghanistan following the catastrophic earthquake that struck the eastern region of the country. Recognizing the urgent need for assistance, India has sent 21 tons of relief materials to Kabul to support the affected population.
The aid package includes a comprehensive array of essential supplies, such as blankets, tents, hygiene kits, water storage tanks, generators, kitchen utensils, portable water purifiers, sleeping bags, essential medicines, wheelchairs, hand sanitizers, water purification tablets, ORS solution, and medical consumables. The aid was transported to Kabul via air.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has called for additional resources to help those affected and stated that the current humanitarian aid is insufficient.
