Families heave a sigh of aid as 271 Indians return from Ukraine safely

A complete of 271 Indian nationals who have been stranded in Ukraine returned to the nation through Romania on Saturday.

Most of the scholars who reached Mumbai airport have been from the western a part of Ukraine, which is nearer to the Romanian border.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra cabinet minister Anil Parab and Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar have been current on the airport to welcome the scholars.

Indubai Bhalerao, a senior citizen from the Kandivali space of Mumbai, got here to obtain her granddaughter Kashmira whereas her grandson Aditya was nonetheless in Ukraine.

She mentioned, “We are worried about my grandson. I hope he is able to return too.” Bhalerao’s son Harshad added, “My son somehow managed to reach a safe location. He was helped by the locals there. I hope that all the students who are in Ukraine come back safely. My daughter was helped by the embassy to reach India. The embassy is working in areas where war is not happening.”

Among the evacuees, many of the college students are ladies, mentioned Kalyan resident Pooja Agarwal, whose son Prathamesh was about to reach. She was pleased with the federal government’s step to deliver the scholars again.

Prathamesh Agarwal was welcomed by his mom on reaching the airport. Prathamesh informed India Today, “I feel lucky to have reached home. We were in a safe zone, but really panicked. Many of our friends are stranded in Kyiv.”

Just a few associations from Kerala had reached the airport to supply logistical assist to 27 college students from their state.

Abhishek Barabve from Amravati, a first-year MBBS pupil at Bukovinian State Medical University in Chernivtsi in Ukraine, after reaching the Mumbai airport mentioned, “As I am a first-year student, my immigration was not complete and was finding it difficult to get a ticket.”

Meanwhile, as the scholars landed, a verbal duel befell between the NCP and the BJP staff attempting to welcome college students at a pitch greater than the opposite. The CISF and Mumbai police had a tough time controlling the gang.
