A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar on Friday, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The NCS stated the earthquake was at a depth of 101km. The NCS shared details of the event, including its time, latitude, longitude, and location, on X. Prior to this, the region experienced a 4.6 magnitude earthquake on July 7. The NCS provided information about the earlier earthquake on X as well. Another earthquake, of magnitude 4.1, occurred on July 3 at a shallow depth of 10km. Shallow earthquakes are considered more dangerous. The WHO warned of health risks like tuberculosis and HIV after the earthquakes in March. Myanmar faces earthquake and tsunami risks.
