The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on Dixon Drive, where a large gathering of approximately 150 people had convened. Responding to calls of shots fired around 3 a.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office discovered a scene of disorder after the crowd had scattered. Sheriff Burnis Wilkins confirmed that a total of thirteen individuals sustained gunshot wounds. While expressing condolences to the victims’ families, the Sheriff’s Office stated that this incident is believed to be isolated and poses no threat to the general public. A thorough investigation is underway, with forensic teams collecting evidence and detectives seeking to identify suspects and understand the motive. The names of the deceased will be released pending proper notification.
