China summons Japan’s ambassador for ‘over-hyping’ Beijing-related factors at G7 summit

By Geeta Mohan: Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong on Sunday summoned Japanese Ambassador to China Hideo Tarumi to lodge solemn representations over the G7 Hiroshima summit. Hideo Tarumi was summoned for ‘over-hyping’ China-related factors on the G7 summit.

Sun Weidong recognized that the G7 adheres to the confrontation between camps and the chilly battle mentality and its actions violate the general improvement of historic previous, aim data and worldwide morality.

According to a press launch issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Sunday night, Sun talked about Japan, the rotating presidency of the G7, has colluded with totally different worldwide places in smearing and attacking China, and grossly interfering in China’s inside affairs.

‘VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW’

“Japan, as the rotating presidency of the G7 this year, collaborated with relevant countries to smear and attack China in the series of activities and joint declarations of the G7 Hiroshima summit, grossly interfering in China’s internal affairs, violating the basic principles of international law and the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan, and harming China. China is strongly dissatisfied and firmly opposes it,” Sun Weidong talked about in a press launch.

Emphasising that Taiwan is China’s inside concern, he talked about, “Taiwan is China’s Taiwan and the resolution of the Taiwan issue is the Chinese people’s own business, which should be decided by the Chinese. The Taiwan issue is at the heart of China’s core interests and concerns the political foundation of China-Japan relations. It is an insurmountable red line. No one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will and strong ability of the Chinese people to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Xizang are China’s inside affairs and China is not going to allow any exterior forces to make irresponsible remarks or intrude, talked about Sun.

CHINA REJECTS ALLEGATIONS OF DEBT TRAP

“China is a staunch defender and builder of the international maritime rule of law. The current situation in the East China Sea and South China Sea is generally stable, and the malicious hype of “altering the established order with vitality” is contrary to the facts. China firmly pursues an opening-up strategy of mutual benefit and win-win results, and the dirty water of “monetary coercion” and “debt entice” will not be poured on China,” Sun Weidong talked about, slamming Japan.

Sun moreover rejected accusations of “economic coercion” and “debt trap,” and talked about the United States is the initiator of breaking the worldwide order and tips and disrupting the working of the world financial system.

“China has always firmly pursued the nuclear strategy of self-defense and defense, adhered to the no-first-use policy of nuclear weapons, and maintained its nuclear force at the lowest level required for national security. The Japanese side should correct its understanding of China, grasp its strategic independence, abide by the principles of the four political documents between China and Japan, and truly promote the stable development of bilateral relations with a constructive attitude,” he talked about.
