China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Delhi, emphasizing the need to view each other as partners. Wang mentioned that both countries should learn from the past 75 years and promote the correct strategic perception. The leaders discussed several issues, including economic and trade matters, religious pilgrimages, and border-related trade and connectivity.
Wang will also be meeting with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss border issues. Later, he will meet with Prime Minister Modi. PM Modi is planning a two-day visit to China, marking his first visit since 2018. As Prime Minister, this will be his sixth visit to China.
