A devastating bus accident in Kenya has claimed the lives of 21 people. The bus was carrying passengers returning from a funeral service when it crashed in the southwestern part of the country. The vehicle was traveling from Kakamega to Kisumu when the driver lost control while approaching a roundabout. Among the deceased are 10 women, 10 men, and a 10-year-old girl. Road accidents are a persistent problem in Kenya and the broader East African region. A separate incident involving a bus crash in Naivasha resulted in nine fatalities on Thursday.
