Britain, Royal Family bid a remaining farewell to Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral proceedings have begun at Westminster Abbey in London because the UK bids a remaining farewell to its longest-reigning monarch. King Charles and different senior British royals adopted the Queen’s coffin into Westminster Abbey on Monday, as pall bearers carried the flag-draped casket alongside the aisle within the nation’s first state funeral since 1965.

Queen Elizabeth’s coffin, lined by the Royal Standard flag and with the Imperial State Crown positioned on a cushion on high alongside a wreath of flowers, lay in state in London’s Westminster corridor for 3 days until Monday.

On Monday, hundreds lined up within the streets as pin-drop silence fell over London’s Hyde Park when the Queen’s coffin appeared on screens erected forward of the funeral service.
