According to the information received, the power of the entire city suddenly went off at around 7.30 pm. Along with all the areas of the city, power was cut off in many hospitals including TMH and Tata Motors Hospital. An official statement is still awaited about what is wrong. Local people told that when the power was cut, there was a loud explosion and sparks were seen in the company. However, it has not been confirmed by the company yet what is the reason for the blackout. People have reported that there has been an explosion in battery number 8 and 9 of Tata Steel Plant. After this the power was cut off.

Tata Steel has said that no major accident has happened. There has definitely been a power cut. There has been no accident in the blast furnace. The reason for the power cut is being investigated. No official information has come out from the company yet.
