US President Joe Biden examined optimistic for Covid-19 on Thursday and is experiencing “very mild symptoms,” the White House stated.

Biden, 79, will go on finishing up the duties of the workplace and has begun taking a course of the antiviral therapy Paxlovid, in response to his press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

“He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms,” she stated in an announcement.

“Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time,” she stated, referring to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Jean-Pierre stated Biden had been talking together with his workers by cellphone and can proceed to take part in conferences by cellphone and Zoom from the residence whereas he recovers. He will resume in-person work as soon as he checks detrimental, she stated.

The White House will present a each day replace on the president’s well being within the meantime, Jean-Pierre stated.
