In a rapidly developing situation, the Iranian Embassy in India has accused Israel of a ‘brutal attack’ on Iran’s state radio and television building, resulting in the deaths and injuries of Iranian journalists. The embassy, in a post on X, called the action ‘criminal’ and a violation of international regulations, requesting condemnation from independent Indian media. Accompanying the statement was a photo showing smoke rising from the building. Simultaneously, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted Iran’s strength against what he termed Israeli brutality. The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), in a separate announcement, declared the elimination of four senior Iranian intelligence officials in Tehran, including key figures from the IRGC.
