Reports indicate that Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in an air strike in Sana’a, Yemen, attributed to Israel. The information was first reported by The Times of Israel, quoting the Yemeni publication Al-Jumhuriya. The strike occurred on August 28th, targeting al-Rahawi’s apartment and leading to the deaths of others present.
Israeli authorities believe that the attacks also resulted in the deaths of Defense Minister Mohammed al-Atifi and Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari. The strikes followed a previous attack on a group of senior Houthi ministers, who were assembled to listen to Abdul Malik al-Houthi’s speech.
