2 firefighters killed as passenger jet collides with truck on runway in Peru | Video

A LATAM Airlines aircraft taking off from Lima’s worldwide airport in Peru struck a firetruck on the runway and caught fireplace on Friday. Two firefighters had been killed within the accident.

By India Today Web Desk: Two firefighters had been killed after a LATAM Airlines aircraft collided with a firetruck on the runway of Peru’s Jorge Chavez International Airport because it was taking off on Friday.

However, no passengers or flight crew members had been killed within the incident, the airline stated. There had been 102 passengers and 6 crew members aboard the Airbus A320neo.

The accident came about when the jetliner collided with a car on the runway, based on movies circulating on social media.

The airport suspended all operations and is investigating the causes of the accident.

Lima Airport Partners, the corporate that operates Jorge Chávez airport, stated that operations on the facility had been suspended. “Our teams are providing the necessary care to all passengers, who are in good condition,” the corporate stated.
