Rupee gained one penny, reached 76.15 rupees per dollar

On Friday, the rupee rose by one paise to 76.15 rupees in the interbanking currency market, amid the boom in the stock market domestically and the depreciation of the dollar against the world’s major currencies globally. The rupee was 76.16 per dollar on the previous day. The rupee opened marginally lower at Rs 76.17 per dollar on Friday and it remained between the low of Rs 76.19 and the high of Rs 76.08 per dollar during the session. Finally, the rupee rose one paise to 76.15 per dollar.
