Assam floods: The families of the dead will get compensation of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF, Prime Minister approved

Assam (Assam) Flood ( Flood has continued to create havoc). Meanwhile, on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ( PM Modi ) has announced financial assistance of two lakh rupees to the families of those who lost their lives in the flood. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) tweeted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the families of every person who lost their lives in Assam floods.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi spoke to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and reviewed the current situation after heavy rains and floods. He also assured Sonowal of all help from the Center. At the same time, officials said that 33 people have died due to floods in Assam. Apart from this, about 15 lakh people in 21 of the 33 districts of the state are affected by the floods.

Home Minister holds meeting to deal with flood disaster

Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting with concerned officials on Friday to prepare for dealing with the flood situation in different parts of the country. Senior officials of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Ministry of Home Affairs were present in the meeting.
