WhatsApp is consistently improving its user experience with new features. The latest update focuses on making the calling experience more efficient. Users will now have the ability to send a voicemail directly after a missed WhatsApp call. This functions similarly to traditional voicemail services but is integrated within the WhatsApp app.
How the Voicemail Feature Operates:
If a WhatsApp call goes unanswered, the ‘Leave Voicemail’ option will appear on the caller’s screen. Tapping this option allows the user to record a short voice message. This message is delivered to the recipient just like a regular audio message, and they can listen to it when they open the app.
Benefits of the New Feature:
Previously, a missed call necessitated typing out a text message to communicate the reason for the call. Now, a quick voicemail can be sent with a single click, streamlining the communication process. This is particularly beneficial when the call is important but the recipient is unable to answer.
The feature is currently in beta testing, and will soon be available on both iOS and Android platforms. If the feature is not yet available on your phone, it will appear in a future update.
WhatsApp Status Update
WhatsApp has also released an update to its beta version, allowing users to share WhatsApp statuses directly from other apps. This eliminates the need for a separate update to share status updates. This feature is currently rolling out to iOS beta users, with a wider release expected in the future.
