Vivo has launched the V60 5G, targeting the mid-range smartphone segment. This new device includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 6500mAh battery, a 50MP front camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company is promising extended support with four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The V60 also integrates AI features, such as an AI smart call assistant, AI image expander, AI-powered block spam call tool, and AI captions. The phone will be available in the following variants: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 12GB RAM/256GB storage, and 16GB RAM/512GB storage. The price for the 8GB/128GB model is Rs 36,999, the 8GB/256GB is Rs 38,999, the 12GB/256GB is Rs 40,999, and the 16GB/512GB is Rs 45,999. Pre-booking is currently open, with the official sale commencing on August 19th via the Vivo website, select retail stores, Flipkart, and Amazon. The V60 5G will compete with phones like the Realme 15 Pro 5G, Google Pixel 8a, OnePlus 13R 5G, iQOO Neo 10, and Honor 200 Pro 5G, which are in the same price range (Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000). The phone has a 6.77-inch 1.5K resolution quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor built using a 4nm process. The phone supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. It also has a 50MP front camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. The device is powered by a 6500mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging.
