The Trump Organization’s venture into the smartphone market with the Trump Mobile has taken an unexpected turn. The device, initially promoted with the ‘Made in USA’ label, is now facing scrutiny over the accuracy of its advertised features. The company’s official website now uses the tagline ‘Premium Performance, Proudly American’, which is a distraction from the fact that the company appears to have misrepresented the device’s specifications.
In a concerning move, the company has altered the phone’s specifications post-launch, while pre-orders were still being taken. Notably, the details regarding the display and RAM that were presented during the phone’s launch have been quietly changed.
The Verge reports that the phone was originally said to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen. Now, the official website displays a 6.25-inch screen. Moreover, changes have been made to the RAM specifications. The initial specifications stated the phone would have 12GB of RAM, but this information has been removed from the company’s website.
The Trump Organization has not explained why they initially provided incorrect information. However, it is now clear that the original claims about the Trump Mobile were inaccurate. The company has yet to comment. The true details will only be revealed when the phone is in the hands of customers.
