Snapchat is implementing a new policy that will charge users for exceeding a 5GB storage limit within its Memories feature. Launched with free storage, Snapchat will now require users to subscribe to a paid plan to continue storing content beyond the 5GB threshold. Snapchat has introduced “Memories Storage Plans.” Options include 100GB and 250GB storage, available through the Snapchat+ monthly plan, and a Platinum plan with 5TB of storage. The company states the plans are needed to ensure long-term support for the platform’s users. Users exceeding the free storage limit will be offered a 12-month temporary storage period to either download their content or subscribe.

100GB storage: $1.99 per month.
Snapchat+ with 250GB storage: $3.99 per month.

Go to Memories.
Select Snaps to download.
Tap Export.
Select the save location.
