Addressing consumer demand for longer battery life, smartphone manufacturers are increasingly focusing on incorporating high-capacity batteries. After the trend of 7000mAh batteries, companies are now looking towards 15000mAh batteries. Realme recently teased a new smartphone with a 15000mAh battery, the capacity is displayed on the phone’s back.
The company claims that this phone can offer up to 50 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge. Despite the trend for larger batteries to make phones bulkier, Realme aims to avoid this with its new device.
The phone is expected to incorporate silicon anode technology, which was introduced in early 2025. This is a concept device, so its launch may be pending, but the company plans to share more details on August 27th. It is speculated that Realme might also introduce a phone with a 10000mAh battery.
In May, Realme unveiled a phone featuring an ultra-high silicon anode battery, with a 10000mAh capacity and possibly supporting 320W fast charging. It is expected to feature a semi-transparent back panel, measure 8.5mm thick, and weigh around 200 grams. Realme’s 320W supersonic charging technology, revealed last year, promises full charging in around 4 minutes and 30 seconds, with the company claiming it can charge the phone to 26% in 1 minute and 50% in 2 minutes.
