Apple has launched the iPhone 17 Air in India, replacing the Plus variant. This new iPhone is notable for its slim profile, boasting a thickness of only 5.6mm, making it the thinnest iPhone yet from Apple. The iPhone 17 Air is designed exclusively for eSIM use. It incorporates the new N1 networking chip and the second-generation C1X modem, representing first-time features in an iPhone. The N1 chip provides support for Bluetooth version 6, Wi-Fi 7, and Thread protocol, while the C1X modem delivers improved performance and connectivity. The iPhone 17 Air is offered in four colors. The price for the Indian market starts at Rs 119,900. Pre-booking will commence on September 12, with the official sale starting on September 19. The iPhone 17 Air features a 6.5-inch display that supports 120Hz ProMotion and reaches a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Ceramic Shield protects the front and back of the phone. The phone utilizes the A19 Pro Bionic chipset for speed and multitasking, which Apple says is the fastest chip currently used in any smartphone. It features a single 48-megapixel rear camera sensor that is capable of 2x telephoto photos at 12 megapixels.
