Reliance Jio’s ₹249 prepaid plan has been discontinued. This change affects subscribers who preferred the plan for its 1GB daily data. The plan is no longer available on the company’s website or app, although recharge might still be possible through retail outlets. The original plan included 28 days of validity, 1GB daily high-speed data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day. Now, subscribers have to consider alternative plans. For similar validity but less data, the ₹189 plan with 2GB total data can be considered. For increased data and validity, the ₹299 plan is an alternative which offers 1.5GB high speed data daily, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS daily.
