The latest iPhone launch has generated considerable buzz, with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max priced at Rs 82,900, Rs 1,34,900, and Rs 1,49,900, respectively. The high prices have led potential buyers to investigate whether they can find better deals elsewhere. One area of focus is the possibility of buying the new iPhones from Dubai.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max costs Rs 1,49,900 in India, whereas the Dubai version is priced at 5,099 AED, which converts to approximately Rs 1,22,500. This results in a price difference of approximately Rs 27,400. However, when factoring in the expense of a round trip from Delhi to Dubai, which is about Rs 22,619, the total cost, including the iPhone, would amount to approximately Rs 1,45,100. Ultimately, the savings would be a mere Rs 4,800.
Further investigation shows that the iPhone 17 Pro Max is available at significantly lower prices in countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan. Prices in the US also tend to vary depending on location due to tax variations. Therefore, traveling to Dubai solely to purchase the new iPhone might not be a financially sound decision, given the potential travel costs.
