iQOO is gearing up for the India launch of the iQOO 15, its latest flagship smartphone, with several key features confirmed. The device will feature wireless charging, a notable addition compared to its predecessor, the iQOO 13. Moreover, it will incorporate a larger battery and significant performance enhancements. The iQOO 15’s core strength will be the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the fastest processor available globally, making it a standout device in the Indian market.
The company has confirmed via a Weibo post that the iQOO 15 will support wireless charging. It will also include a new seven-cell “Blue Ocean” battery design coupled with the Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 technology. This combination is designed to extend the battery life during gaming, video playback, and navigation. The iQOO 13 offered a 6,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging, but it did not support wireless charging.
Leaks indicate that the iQOO 15 will boast a 6.85-inch Samsung display with a 2K resolution (3168×1440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor alongside iQOO’s in-house Q3 chip, designed to deliver superior performance and an enhanced gaming experience.
On the camera front, the iQOO 15 is anticipated to include a 50MP primary sensor, sized at 1/1.5-inch. In addition, it may feature a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. This setup is specifically aimed at improving the quality of low-light photography and zoom capabilities.
As per tipster Chaitanya (@ChaitanyaOnTech), the iQOO 15 is expected to be priced between 60,000 and 65,000 rupees in India. This would represent a premium of around 5,000 rupees over the launch price of the iQOO 13 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), which was 54,999 rupees. The iQOO 13 was available in Legend and Nardo Grey color options, while details about the iQOO 15’s new color variants are expected soon.
