According to an investor note by JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee, the foldable iPhone is set to launch in September 2026, along with the iPhone 18 series. This timeline aligns with reports from supply chain sources.
The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer display. Additionally, the inner panel is rumored to be crease-free. When the phone is unfolded, the screen will appear seamless.
Analysts predict that Apple’s first foldable smartphone will be priced at $1,999 (approximately ₹1.74 lakh). This could lead to a revenue increase of $65 billion for the company. Previous leaks indicated a base price of $2,300 (approximately ₹1.99 lakh). The initial release will be limited. The folded phone will be 9.2mm thick, and 4.6mm when unfolded.
