Canva is expanding its AI capabilities with the launch of “Create a Video Clip,” which utilizes Google’s Veo 3 model. This new feature allows users to produce 8-second cinematic video clips with integrated audio based on a text prompt. This addition enriches Canva’s existing AI tools, streamlining the process of creating compelling video content for various platforms, such as social media and presentations. The feature is available to both paid and nonprofit users on Canva, offering five generations per month initially. It’s also being rolled out to Leonardo.Ai subscribers. This release is one of the earliest public integrations of Veo 3 following its introduction at I/O 2025. Veo 3 enables simultaneous video and audio creation, resulting in cinematic visuals, fluid transitions, and audio that perfectly complements the video’s movement. Users can simply input a prompt and the platform will generate the video automatically, which can then be further customized using Canva’s video editor. Canva’s commitment to simplifying creative processes for users of all skill levels is highlighted with this new feature.
