**Playing NYT Connections:**
Players are presented with a grid of words, and the aim is to identify the connections between them. Utilize synonyms, antonyms, and word families to solve the puzzle. Success depends on a strong vocabulary and problem-solving abilities. The game provides hints. Additionally, you can track daily streaks and overall progress, while also challenging friends or other players to see who can solve the most puzzles.
Each day at midnight, a new puzzle is released. The game is available on the NYT website and app. The goal is to organize 16 words into four groups of four by determining their connections. The groupings may involve clickable elements, names of participants in a research study, or words related to body parts.
Since each puzzle has a single solution, be cautious of words that may fit into multiple categories. You can swap words to potentially reveal connections.
The groups are color-coded, with yellow generally being the easiest, blue and green in the middle, and purple typically the hardest. The purple group usually contains wordplay.
Select the four words that belong together and submit. If the guess is wrong, a life is lost. When close to solving a group, you may see a message indicating you are just one word away, but the word still needs to be swapped. Four incorrect guesses result in the end of the game.
