Fresh details about the iPhone 17 lineup have been leaked, purportedly from sources in the Taiwanese market. According to the rumors, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro will incorporate 120Hz displays, designed to improve the overall smoothness of content and navigation. This would be a step up from the displays found in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to adopt a “Silicon Anode battery,” which is anticipated to offer a higher energy density than the graphite batteries used in other iPhone models. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air might come with a battery case to ensure the device lasts throughout the day on a single charge. This model might also forgo a physical SIM card slot in favor of an eSIM-only design to enable a slimmer form factor. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max may boast improvements in optical zoom, with software adjustments potentially enabling a zoom range of up to 8x. Apple is considering a modified release schedule in the future, with the launch of some iPhone models in the first half of the year. This new release structure is expected to start in 2026, with the iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Fold anticipated to debut in September of that year.
