This change is expected to boost their revenue per user, which simultaneously translates to higher prices for customers. Following this trend, Vi has also adapted its plan offerings.
Airtel’s old ₹249 plan provided 1 GB of daily data for 28 days. Jio’s corresponding plan included 1 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and access to Jio Cinema.
Airtel now offers a ₹299 plan as its new baseline, featuring 1 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, valid for 28 days. It includes a free Perplexity AI subscription worth ₹17,000, and spam call protection.
Airtel also provides a ₹349 plan with 1.5 GB of daily data and unlimited calls for 28 days. It includes a complimentary Perplexity AI subscription worth ₹17,000, plus Airtel’s spam call protection.
Jio’s new ₹299 plan includes 1 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, with 28 days of validity. The plan also bundles free subscriptions to Jio TV and Jio Cloud, valued at ₹2,999, and Jio’s spam call protection.
