The pink cap and belt of the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief, who was jailed for allegedly burning an effigy of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath a number of days in the past in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, has been ‘confiscated’ by the police. After his launch from jail, the SP chief, who’s circling the police station for the return of the cap and belt, has now waged a warfare in opposition to the district police. The SP chief has warned of self-immolation on the Commissionerate intersection if he doesn’t return his hat and belt until January 11, stating it as a query of his honor. On 15 December 2020, SP Dalit Sena President Vinod Jatav together with a few of his comrades have been on the Commissionerate intersection. But the effigy of CM Yogi Adityanath was burnt. During this time, the police current on the spot arrested Vinod Jatav and despatched him to jail. Vinod was launched on bail on 18 December. ‘SP has made a number of rounds’. It is claimed that on the time of Vinod’s arrest, the police, police and hats and belts have been deposited within the police station by the Civil Line Police Station. After his launch from jail on December 18, Vinod reached the police station to gather his belongings. Vinod’s cell was returned by the policemen current. But the cap and belt later despatched them again, saying they’d give. Since then Vinod Jatav has made a number of rounds of the Civil Line Police Station to return his hat and belt. The SP chief, who was troubled by the ‘So-kar karega leng ki self-immolation’, had reached the Commissionerate intersection on Friday afternoon. While handing over the memorandum to the DM, the SP chief accused the police of grabbing his hat and belt. The SP chief alleges that CM Yogi’s police is persecuting the socialists. Alam is that now the police need to promote the hat of socialists too. The SP chief demanded that the cap be returned to the District Magistrate, stating that the cap was associated to his honor. He warned that if his cap was not returned by January 11, he would commit suicide on the Commissionerate intersection. Police denied the allegations. Inspector Civil Line Abdur Rahman Siddiqui denied the allegations of the SP chief. He advised that the products that are deposited within the police station are later handed over to the accused. If the SP chief’s cap would have been deposited, it will have been returned as effectively.
