Universities, schools to reopen in Odisha on August 16

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha authorities on Friday introduced that universities and schools within the state, closed as a result of pandemic, will reopen for bodily courses from August 16.

Classes will resume for first 12 months postgraduate and pre-final 12 months undergraduate college students, the upper schooling division tweeted.

“Universities and Colleges (below Higher Education Dept) will open for bodily classroom educating (and for hostel lodging) from 16.08.21 for PG First Year and UG Pre-Final Year college students,” the tweet stated.

“Exams for PG/UG Final Year college students shall be held in on-line mode as deliberate earlier,” the division added.

With the development in COVID-19 scenario, the Odisha authorities has introduced the reopening of purchasing malls, parks and cinema halls amongst a number of relaxations in all of the districts, barring three cities — Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri — the place the coronavirus caseload is comparatively excessive.

Schools throughout Odisha had reopened for college students of courses 10 and 12 on July 26 after a niche of greater than three months.
